Which booth for a birthday
Birthdays are the one event type where the cheaper option is often the right one. If you are having twenty-five people in a house, the digital self-operated booth at $350 for 2 hours does the job (Burlington, Oakville and Waterdown only). Guests take photos, GIFs and boomerangs and send them to themselves, and nobody has to manage it.
The moment the guest list goes past about thirty, or the moment the print matters, book an attended package. A sixteenth or a sixtieth where everyone leaves holding a strip with the name and the date on it is a different kind of evening, and the attendant is what keeps thirty people moving through the booth.
Either way the design is included. Name, milestone, date, colours that match the party. Examples of the layouts are on the photo layouts page.

Every attended package, whether it is at a venue or in your kitchen.
A real camera and real light
A DSLR with studio strobes, not a tablet and a ring light. Skin looks like skin, and a dark room stops being a problem.
Unlimited prints
2x6 strips as fast as guests can take them, 4x6 prints if you prefer the bigger format. Printed on proper photo stock in about ten seconds.
Instant sharing
Guests send their photos, GIFs and boomerangs to their own phone by text, email or QR code before they leave the booth.
An attendant on site
Someone from Aura runs the booth the whole time, keeps the line moving and helps guests who have never used one.
Your design on every print
We design the strip and the start screen around your names, date, colours or logo, and send a proof before the event.
Delivery, setup, teardown
We arrive about an hour early and pack down after. None of it counts against your booth hours.

Backyards and basements
We set up at houses constantly. The list of requirements is short: about 10 feet by 10 feet of flat floor, a standard 120V outlet within 25 feet, and if it is outdoors, shelter over the booth and shade on the backdrop. A gazebo or a rented tent covers it.

Common questions
What is the right package for a birthday?
For a party of 30 or fewer in Burlington, Oakville and Waterdown, the digital self-operated booth at $350 for 2 hours is usually enough. For a bigger milestone where you want prints in people's hands, Essential at $550 for 2 hours or Signature at $650 for 3.
Can the print say the birthday person's name?
Yes, and it is included. Name, the milestone, the date and a colour treatment to match the party. We send a proof beforehand.
Will you set up at a house?
Yes. Plenty of our birthday work is in backyards and basements. We need about 10 by 10 feet, a 120V outlet within 25 feet, and shelter and shade if it is outside.
Is it good for kids' parties?
Yes. The booth is fully open-air with no curtain to hide in, the attendant is used to younger guests, and the prop table is picked for the party rather than a bin of everything we own.
How much notice do you need?
Three to six weeks is comfortable for most birthdays. Summer Saturdays go sooner. If the party is inside a week, text us rather than email.
Do you charge for travel to a home address?
Travel is included across Halton, which is Burlington, Oakville, Milton and Halton Hills, plus Hamilton and Mississauga. Toronto and the rest of the GTA carry a flat travel fee that we quote up front, and most Toronto venues land between $50 and $100. Niagara is a flat fee too, quoted with your price.
