Hamilton has the best old rooms in the region and the worst ambient light in some of them. Heritage halls with high ceilings and dark wood swallow light. A studio strobe fixes that in a way no tablet booth can, which is why every print comes out even whether the room is bright or not.
We have run the booth for the Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra, who put it plainly afterward: professional, easy to communicate with and well-priced. That is the job. Show up early, run it ourselves, hand people a print.
Travel is included across Hamilton, Ancaster, Dundas and Stoney Creek. Essential is $550 for 2 hours, Signature $650 for 3, Ultimate $800 for 4, plus HST.
Venues we know
Real venues in and around Hamilton where an open-air booth fits comfortably.
Hamilton heritage rooms often have narrow doors and stairs. Send us the venue name and we will confirm the load-in before you book rather than after.
Dark rooms. LIUNA Station, the Spice Factory and most of the converted mills are beautiful and dim. The strobe means the print looks the same at 11pm as it did at 7pm. That is the single biggest difference between a real booth and a tablet on a stand.
Escarpment venues. Ancaster and Dundas venues are up the hill and the drive is longer, but it is still inside the included travel area. No extra fee.
Corporate and arts events. Hamilton arts organisations and businesses tend to want a branded start screen and an opt-in list at the end. Both are included in the design and in the recap we send afterwards.

What arrives
The same kit whatever the venue and whatever the length you book.
A DSLR with studio strobes, not a tablet and a ring light. Skin looks like skin, and a dark room stops being a problem.
2x6 strips as fast as guests can take them, 4x6 prints if you prefer the bigger format. Printed on proper photo stock in about ten seconds.
Guests send their photos, GIFs and boomerangs to their own phone by text, email or QR code before they leave the booth.
Someone from Aura runs the booth the whole time, keeps the line moving and helps guests who have never used one.
We design the strip and the start screen around your names, date, colours or logo, and send a proof before the event.
We arrive about an hour early and pack down after. None of it counts against your booth hours.

Almost certainly. The venues listed on this page, such as LIUNA Station and Carmen's Event Centre, all have rooms where an open-air booth fits comfortably. Send us your venue name and we will tell you straight away whether the space works.

Yes, with shelter over the booth, shade on the backdrop and an outlet within 25 feet. A tent, gazebo or covered terrace is enough.
Within the hour, between 7am and 11pm. Send the date and the venue and we reply with availability and a price. A 25% deposit holds the date and the balance is due after the event.
Travel is included across Halton, which is Burlington, Oakville, Milton and Halton Hills, plus Hamilton and Mississauga. Toronto and the rest of the GTA carry a flat travel fee that we quote up front, and most Toronto venues land between $50 and $100. Niagara is a flat fee too, quoted with your price.
